The Food Web Game v. 2.0 is an interactive learning tool that teaches players about who's dinner and who's a diner in the ocean. Based on feedback on Version 1 from players and educators alike, the latest release by Blue Iceberg, Food Web Game v. 2.0, incorporates a more colorful and interactive interface, a stronger emphasis on learning, and the ability to score and print results by player-- a useful tool for teachers.
Version 1 was created when Blue Iceberg was developing the COOL Classroom for Rutgers University Marine and Coastal Sciences. Rutgers' site has been pioneering new methods in science education by using interactivity, online tools and real-time data collected at Rutgers' Coastal Ocean Observation Laboratory (COOLroom for short) to teach Middle and High School students about Oceanography.
